Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Shillong Arrival ➤

(120 kms, 4-5 hours road time)

Our trip begins as the car pick you up from the airport in Guwahati. We then stop to visit the Kamakhya Temple at Guwahati. We then transfer to Shillong, also called 'Scotland of the East’ While traveling view the majestic Umiam Lake surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. On reaching we will do a little local sightseeing then head to hotel and relax.

Day 2: Shillong - Laitlum - Shillong ➤

(50 kms, 3 hours road time)

The day begins with a relaxing breakfast and explore the stunning Laitlum Canyons for breathtaking panoramic views. Afterwards, return to Shillong to discover its many attractions and end the day with a walking tour of the city. Soak in the local culture, explore the city's sights, and end the day with cherished memories.

Day 3: Shillong – Shnongpdeng - Dawki -Mawlynnong ➤

(120 kms, 4-5 hours road time)

Start the day early to visit the must-see destination of Dawki. Take a detour to the Nartiang monoliths garden, then visit the stunning Phe Phe Falls, Krang Suri Falls, and Krang Suri Fall, before reaching Shnongpdeng to enjoy water activities in the renowned "cleanest river in India", the Crystal Clear Umngot River. Spend the night in Mawlynnong Village, stopping along the way to admire the beauty of Umkrem and Borhill waterfalls. Rejuvenate your soul with the tranquil ambiance of this charming place.

Day 4: Mawlynnong - Sohra ➤

(100 Km - 3hrs road time)

Wake up and have an early breakfast and take a walk in the village and see the exotic flora and Fauna. Take a look at the 100-year old church surrounded by orange trees & walk up the bamboo structure that leads one up to the tree house for a sweeping view of Bangladesh. Visit Riwai Root Bridge in the VillageNatural wonder of the world only found in Meghalaya (Recognized by BBC). See the Balancing Rock and Heritage Village Church. After Mawlynnong we head towards Sohra and stop along the way at Mawkdok Valley Viewpoint and enjoy ziplining across the gorges. We then enter the Garden of Caves along the way and reach Nohkalikai Falls for sunset and after this we go to our hotel in Sohra and relax.

Day 5: Sohra ➤

(50 Km - 2hrs road time)

This day we start the day early and head to Arwah Cave. Known for its limestone formations and the fossils, it is one of the popular caves in Meghalaya. Surrounded by the thick forest of Law Shynna in Meghalaya, Arwah Cave is an absolute treat for adventure and archaeology junkies. After this we head to Mawkma Village which has many beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear pools which we can have a dip. We head back to the hotel.

Day 6: Sohra – Mawphlang - Mawphanlur ➤

Begin your journey to Mawphanlur with a visit to the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, followed by a relaxing picnic lunch. Then, head to Khudoi Falls in Mairang Village before exploring the impressive Kyllang Rock. End the day at the picturesque Mawphanlur Village, known for its high-altitude meadows, small lakes, and cottages. An overnight stay is recommended to fully enjoy the starry skies and cool temperatures. Take in the breathtaking views and prepare for a romantic and scenic experience..

Day 7: Mawphanlur - Guwahati Airport ➤

(170 Km - 5-6 hours road time)

We start our last day by enjoying a quiet and peaceful morning in the village. We then leave and head to Kynshi Hanging Bridge. After spending a few minutes walking on the bridge , we return to our vehicle where we’ll then head to Markham Village. A location where you may see the undulating hills is Markham Valley, a vantage point from which there is a broad view of the low-lying hills from the hill’s summit. It is very scenic and peaceful and is highly recommended to complete either on the previous day or the last. After Markham we return to Shillong where we finish any last-minute shopping. We head to Guwahati with a short stop in Umiam Lake again for a little speed boating and take photos as we prepare to bid Meghalaya goodbye. We drive to the airport, and we say our parting goodbyes to the Northeast.
