After lunch, visit the mesmerizing Elephant Falls and a local tea garden for a taste of freshly brewed tea. The day peaks at Shillong Peak, offering panoramic views, followed by a stunning sunset at Laitlum Canyon. Optionally, explore Khasi culture at the Ever-Living Museum and visit Sweet Falls if time allows.

Itinerary

Begin the day with the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, commonly known as the Shillong Cathedral, which is a prominent church and an iconic landmark. It serves as the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Shillong and is one of the largest churches in the northeastern region of India. 

Afterward, enjoy ‘Wards Lake’ which is a picturesque artificial lake surrounded by lush gardens and pavements. Wards lake is a must visit for tourist. 

Proceed to Shillong Golf Course which stands out the most with it’s vast open space amidst the thick pine trees and fresh air that will help you deal with stress and connect with nature.  

  A visitation to “Don Bosco Museum” in Shillong is a must to experience and get a glimpse of the rich and multi-cultural lifestyles of the indigenous peoples of Northeast India. 

 After lunch, the next destination is a ‘Tea Garden ‘ and ‘Elephant Falls’. This waterfall is the result of a mountain stream that drops over multiple levels, scything through the forested slope. The railed walkways begin at the head of the falls and continue to the bottom, ensuring that you not only see the magnificence of the falls from a close distance but also feel the spray of the cool water and the thunderous sound of the waterfall.  

For the final destination we head to Laitlum Canyons where you would experience scenic landscapes and rolling hills. Take your time to explore the viewpoints, absorb the serene ambiance, and enjoy for a stunning sunset.  

Later drive back to Shillong.
