Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Guwahati Arrival - Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary ➤

(70kms, 2-3 hours road time)

The journey starts as we pick you up from Guwahati Airport and we drive towards Pobitora. The drive to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary offers scenic views of rolling hills and countryside dotted with villages and farms. The sanctuary is known for its one-horned rhinoceroses. On reaching we check into the hotel then head for the jeep safari . An evening jeep safari in the sanctuary offers a chance to spot tigers, elephants, and various wildlife.

Day 2: Pobitora - Shillong ➤

Begin your day with an early elephant safari at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, known for its thriving population of one-horned rhinos. After checking out of the hotel, transfer to Shillong, nicknamed the "Scotland of the East". Marvel at the stunning Umiam Lake, surrounded by verdant hills and clear blue skies, on the way to Shillong. Once you reach, take a tour of the local sights before relaxing at the hotel.

Day 3: Shillong - Laitlum - Shillong ➤

Today is a relaxed day. Have breakfast and start your day, first we head towards the majestic Laitlum Canyons, this exotic viewing site offers the best panoramic views of the hills and valley of Meghalaya. After Laitlum we head back to Shillong to explore the city and its various attractions and end the day with a walking tour of the city.

Day 4: hillong - Dawki - Mawlynnong ➤

(120 Km - 4-5 hours road time)

Yet another destination that is a must-include during the visit is Dawki. We start the day early and on the way we take a detour to visit the Nartiang monoliths garden(Optional). We then move along and take a short hike to the beautiful Phe Phe Falls and Krang Suri falls on the way. The water here is as blue as the sky, clean transparent and above all cold. After this we visit Krang Suri Fall. The tranquil ambience and charming beauty of this place can rejuvenate your soul. We then reach Shnongpdeng and enjoy the different water activities available in the Crystal Clear Umngot river which has gain a reputation as “the cleanest river in India” . Travel to Mawlynnong Village where we spend the night. along the way catch a glimpse of two beautiful waterfalls Umkrem and Borhill.

Day 5: Mawlynnong – Sohra ➤

(80kms 2.5-3 hours road time)

Wake up and have an early breakfast and take a walk in the village and see the exotic flora and Fauna. Take a look at the 100-year old church surrounded by orange trees & walk up the bamboo structure that leads one up to the tree house for a sweeping view of Bangladesh. Visit Riwai Root Bridge in the Village- Natural wonder of the world only found in Meghalaya (Recognized by BBC). See the Balancing Rock and Heritage Village Church. After Mawlynnong we head towards Sohra and stop along the way at Mawkdok Valley Viewpoint and enjoy ziplining across the gorges. We then enter the Garden of Caves along the way and head to the hotel and relax for the day.

Day 6: Sohra Day of Adventure ➤

(30 Km - 1-2 hours road time)

This day we start the day early and head to Arwah Cave. Known for its limestone formations and the fossils, it is one of the popular caves in Meghalaya. Surrounded by the thick forest of Law Shynna in Meghalaya, Arwah Cave is an absolute treat for adventure and archaeology junkies. After this we head to Mawkma Village which has many beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear pools which we can have a dip. (We can have a small picnic lunch here as well.) We head back to the hotel.

Day 7: Sohra – Mawphlang - Mawphanlur ➤

Begin your journey to Mawphanlur with a visit to the Mawphlang Sacred Forest, followed by a relaxing picnic lunch. Then, head to Khudoi Falls in Mairang Village before exploring the impressive Kyllang Rock. End the day at the picturesque Mawphanlur Village, known for its high-altitude meadows, small lakes, and cottages. An overnight stay is recommended to fully enjoy the starry skies and cool temperatures.Take in the breathtaking views and prepare for a romantic and scenic experience.

Day 8: Mawphanlur - Guwahati Airport ➤

(170 Km - 5-6 hours road time)

We start our last day by enjoying a quiet and peaceful morning in the village. We then leave and head to Kynshi Hanging Bridge. After spending a few minutes walking on the bridge , we return to our vehicle where we’ll then head to Markham Village. A location where you may see the undulating hills is Markham Valley, a vantage point from which there is a broad view of the low-lying hills from the hill’s summit. It is very scenic and peaceful and is highly recommended to complete either on the previous day or the last. After Markham we return to Shillong where we finish any last-minute shopping. We head to Guwahati with a short stop in Umiam Lake again for a little speed boating and take photos as we prepare to bid Meghalaya goodbye. We drive to the airport, and we say our parting goodbyes to the Northeast.
