Itinerary
  • Start your day early from Shillong 

  • Visit the Meg tea garden for a taste of freshly brewed tea. 

  • Go to Elephant falls, The waterfall is the result of a mountain stream that drops over multiple levels scything through the forested slope. 

  • Have a short stop at Rangkylliaw viewpoint at Mawrah village. Rangkylliaw viewpoint offers a breath-taking view of the surrounding, an essential stop for any traveller.

  • Arrive at Kongthong Village. Begin by meeting with a local guide or a village elder who will guide us through the village and its tradition. 

  • Experience the mesmerizing whistling language firsthand. Have a local demonstrate how it works and learn some basic whistlings. 

  • Return to Shillong

  • Kongthong - Kongthong is known for its unique language, developed as a consequence of its geographical isolation, in which Jingrwai Iawbei (lit. "melody sung in respect of the root ancestress" in Khasi language), it is also known as the whistling village
