Overview

Syntung village is located in Mawkynrew subdivision of East Khasi Hills district in Meghalaya, India. Syntung is a quaint little village located in Mawkynrew region of East Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya. The Wahrashi Waterfalls which is a congregation of nine waterfalls is the major tourist attraction in the beautiful village. To reach the Wahrashi Waterfalls, one has to take the route starting from Shillong, continuing towards Smit, Thangsning and passing through Laitdiengsai, Jongsha, Mawkynrew, Jatah and Pashang. Phasang is the last village before Syntung. A trek to Pdem falls which is away from Shillong and this waterfall is less visited by tourists and one has to trek for around 30-35 minutes to reach here.
