Umkar Root Bridge, is formed by training the aerial roots of rubber trees over many years. Umkar Root Bridge is not just about witnessing a fascinating natural marvel; it's an opportunity to appreciate the deep cultural heritage and ecological wisdom of the Khasi people while experiencing the breathtaking natural landscapes of Meghalaya. Sohbar village is located around 12 km distance from Sohra(Cherrapunjee) in Shella Bholagonj Block of East Khasi Hills.It is one of the most popular tourist spot for one day outing for locals.It is also a place where Wahrew River offers crystal clear water view.But unfortunately for the tourists this place is still offbeat and untouched.
